WorklinkWA, is currently seeking NDIS Mentors to join our team in Albany. This unique and rewarding role offers the opportunity to mentor NDIS participants one-on-one in a workshop environment, helping them build practical skills and achieve their employment and personal goals.
About the Role:
You will support participants of all abilities to engage in hands-on learning activities including:
• Woodwork and metalwork
• Welding and working with small motors
• Painting, cooking, and general life skills
• Leisure activities and transport
Working in a simulated workplace environment, you'll also assist participants in exploring meaningful employment opportunities, liaising with employers, and providing on-the-job support where needed.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking energetic, approachable, and practical mentors with a passion for
working with people. The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience working in a trades-based or workshop environment
• Be confident supporting people with disabilities in a hands-on, encouraging,
and safe setting
• Be adaptable, engaging, and committed to supporting participants to achieve
their NDIS goals
Requirements:
• C class driver's licence
• Ability to work across Monday to Friday (days vary based on participant
engagement)
• Willingness to obtain or current possession of:
o Police Clearance
o Working with Children Check
o NDIS Worker Screening Check
o ATC Work Smart Registration
o Completion of NDIS online training modules
