We're seeking Two talented Chefs to join our passionate team in delivering outstanding dining experiences to our customers.

Location: Victoria Hotel, 40 Meylin St, Port MacDonnell SA 5291

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional presentation and consistent taste.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to design and create seasonal menus, special dishes, and daily specials.
  • Oversee menu planning, considering seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and cost control.
  • Monitor food quality and portion sizes to maintain the highest standards of taste, freshness, and appearance.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a supportive and positive team environment.
  • Supervise kitchen inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and implement effective strategies to minimize waste.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Assist in organizing and executing special events, functions, and catering services for our guests.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and manage pressure efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to delivering a top-tier guest experience.
