Reporting to the Building Estimating Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Create and complete estimates including all variations, selections and site cost items
  • Resolve ordering oversights and or anomalies when identified
  • Accuracy of work to minimise margin erosion
  • Identify potential site issues in standard BOQs and record all amendments in the masters plans
  • Ensuring production work is carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with Building regulations and Metricon policies
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes to deal confidently with all stakeholders; and
  • Ensuring relationships with internal and external customers, supervisors, suppliers, trades people, agents and contractors are maintained and improved

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years' residential estimating experience preferred, or a Trade background, with quoting, a desirable background
  • At minimum a Cert IV in Building Construction is essential, a Degree in an equivalent course is an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of construction processes and details
  • Competent Microsoft Office suite computer skills, particularly in Excel
  • Working knowledge of an estimating system (e.g. BusinessCraft, Timberline, HMS, Databuild and Precision) is an advantage; and
  • A GREAT ATTITUDE
