About the role

We are looking for a talented and motivated Brand Designer to join our team. In this role, you'll bring clarity and creativity to our corporate, marketing, and customer communications. You'll be the custodian of our visual brand identity for both our consumer-lending brand, Beforepay, and B2B brand, Carrington Labs.

This role is centred on brand design and corporate communication materials across a mix of formats including static, video, print-ready and presentation storytelling. You'll work closely with teams across the business to translate complex concepts into clear, visually compelling designs that resonate with diverse audiences. Strong collaboration, creativity, and attention to detail will be key to your success.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop creative assets including investor presentations, sales decks, and corporate reports that align with brand standards.
  • Build professional templates and toolkits to support internal and external communication.
  • Create engaging visuals and video content for a range of digital and advertising channels (social, email, website banners, display ads).
  • Use AI-powered design tools to accelerate creative workflows and enhance ideation (e.g. MidJourney, Runway, Flow, Sora) to accelerate creative workflows and enhance ideation.
  • Design offline materials such as event collateral, print assets, and merchandise.
  • Evolve and maintain the Beforepay and Carrington Labs brand system, ensuring visual consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Develop iconography, illustration styles, and static assets that strengthen brand recognition.
  • Contribute to brainstorming, storyboarding, and ideation sessions across creative campaigns.
  • Work with the Copywriter, Marketing team and Product team to translate strategic messages into clear, impactful and consistent design across all business assets.
  • Manage creative projects efficiently from initial brief to final artwork delivery
  • Maintain awareness of design trends and provide innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.

What we're looking for

  • A strong background in graphic design with a portfolio that demonstrates creativity and versatility across print, video, digital, and advertising formats.
  • 7+ years of experience in graphic design, corporate communications, or marketing design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects, etc.) and Figma, and experience preparing print-ready artwork.
  • Experience producing visuals, video content and motion graphics for marketing and corporate use.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools (e.g. MidJourney, Runway, Flow, Sora) to enhance ideation, asset generation, and productivity.
  • Expertise in layout design, typography, and brand systems.
  • Experience designing for corporate contexts (presentations, reports, sales materials).
  • Ability to create campaign-ready digital assets and adapt designs for multiple channels.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance creativity with professionalism.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams including Marketing and Product.
  • A proactive mindset and excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines—you can manage your own deadlines and priorities.
  • Bonus if you've worked in fintech or a regulated industry (but not essential).
