  • Salary ranges from $84,659 - $92,701 plus superannuation

About the role

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive executive, administrative, and systems support to the Director. This role requires strong interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills to ensure the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the Business Unit.

Your responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the Director's inbox and correspondence
  • Oversee diary management for the Director and provide scheduling support across the Business Unit as required.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director and Leadership Team as needed
  • Schedule, plan, and coordinate meetings and related logistics

About you –

As an Executive Assistant you will be able to demonstrate

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to provide high-quality executive support to the Director and Leadership Team.
  • Proficiency in preparing professional correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations using the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent coordination skills, with the ability to plan and deliver meetings and events — from preparing agendas to arranging venues and catering — ensuring the Director is well supported and prepared.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated through your ability to respond professionally to enquiries and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Confidence using SAP or similar systems to process orders and invoices, along with a collaborative approach to working with finance, HR, and administrative teams to support the broader Business Unit.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Hold or willing to obtain a working with children's check for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
