The role
In this role, you'll be the key support to the Executive Director, Office of Strategic Lands — managing priorities, handling sensitive matters, and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. You'll prepare and review high-level communications, coordinate divisional responses like budget estimates and reports, and provide informed advice through research and analysis to help guide business decisions.
You'll need to juggle competing priorities, align multiple work streams, and foster strong connections across teams and locations. Your ability to communicate clearly, stay organised, and keep things moving will help the Office operate efficiently and maintain a cohesive, well-informed team environment.

What you will bring to the role
- Proven ability to make sound, independent decisions while ensuring advice, reporting and deliverables are accurate, timely and aligned with business priorities.
- Strong coordination skills to support operations, projects and reporting across portfolios, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
- Expertise in communication and stakeholder engagement, fostering productive relationships and driving positive business outcomes.
- Demonstrated capability in managing administrative, governance and project management systems, monitoring performance and implementing effective processes and procedures.
- Deep understanding of government protocols and public sector accountability, exercising sound judgement and discretion in navigating sensitive or high-risk matters.
