The College has two Director of Students positions available for the commencement of the 2026 school year. This is a great opportunity for an outstanding educational leader to become part of a dynamic College leadership team.

Director of Students

  • Champagnat Campus (Years 7-9), Mitchell Park

  • 4 year tenured appointment commencing in January 2026

  • POR 4

  • Permanent 1.00 FTE substantive teaching position

  • Time release of at least 0.60 FTE (This release typically covers the equivalent of three teaching lines and a homeroom)

A key member of the Champagnat Leadership Team (CLT), the Director of Students is a senior leader who shapes the culture and climate of student life at the Champagnat Campus.

  • Marcellin Campus (Years 10-12), Somerton Park

  • 4 year tenured appointment commencing in January 2026

  • POR 4

  • Permanent 1.00 FTE substantive teaching position

  • Time release of at least 0.60 FTE (This release typically covers the equivalent of three teaching lines and a homeroom)

A key member of the Marcellin Leadership Team (MLT), the Director of Students is a senior leader who shapes the culture and climate of student life at the Marcellin Campus.

Working closely with Heads and Assistant Heads of House, the Directors ensure every student is known, supported, and held to high expectations. The roles foster strong collaboration between pastoral and academic teams, and contribute strategically to whole-school leadership, particularly in promoting the Catholic and Marist character of the College.

These roles lead a dynamic, student-centred pastoral care program grounded in clear expectations, inclusion, and restorative practice. They champion student voice, wellbeing, and personal responsibility, recognising the deep connection between pastoral care and learning.

The successful applicants must also complete our child-safe screening processes, including holding a Working with Children Clearance.
