We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Head Chef with a passion for food and developing others. In this role, you'll support the Store Manager by overseeing back-of-house operations — from prepping ingredients and maintaining food standards to training and mentoring cooks. You'll be the go-to leader in the kitchen, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the grill and that the team is set up for success.

If you bring energy, initiative, and a 'lead by example' attitude, we'll provide the training and support to help you excel.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and inspiring the kitchen crew with a hands-on approach.
  • Prepping and managing ingredients to keep service fast and consistent.
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring cooks to lift skills and confidence.
  • Maintaining food quality, presentation, and portion control at all times.
  • Overseeing kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and OH&S compliance.
  • Working closely with the Store Manager to coordinate stock, ordering, and rosters.
  • Jumping on the grill, fryer, or prep bench when needed — you won't just watch from the sidelines.

  • Previous hospitality, kitchen, or quick-service leadership experience (Head Chef, Cook, Supervisor, or similar).
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Great organisational skills with a focus on prep, quality, and efficiency.
  • Team player mentality — you lead with energy and respect.
