Job Description:

Our Melbourne business has grown to a point where we can can offer this great opportunity for the right applicant to diversify their skills and build a career pathway in a specialist area, working on heavy vehicles, Plant & Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

The mechanic's position involves utilising your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to repair and maintain various Trucks, Plant & Ground Support Equipment.

Your role involves following service guidelines and data as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard. The variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment means there is an opportunity to bring a wide collection of knowledge, skills, and experience to the role.

About the Company:

Maz Group is a privately owned, Melbourne Airport-based construction and maintenance services provider in its 16th year of operation. Located at Melbourne Jet Base, the Maz Group GSE team are experts in airport-vehicle servicing, bringing over a hundred years' experience in the Melbourne Airport precinct. Our staff are all ASIC and ADA holders, able to respond to your callout airport wide, 24 hours a day. We provide breakdown response and servicing to catering trucks, pushback and baggage tractors, truck, forklifts and plant. Our expertise and reliability have built long standing relationships with companies based on Melbourne Airport

Position Requirements:

Mechanical Trade Certificate

Must have own tools

Must hold a current driver's license

Experience in diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding preferred

Undertake ASIC background checks for security access

Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical check
