The Health & Safety Coordinator implements and monitors workplace health and safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, conducts risk assessments, provides employee training, and investigates incidents to prevent workplace hazards and injuries. Key responsibilities include conducting safety audits, advising management on safety matters, and fostering a positive safety culture within the organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and control workplace hazards and risks to prevent injuries and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Safety Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to monitor compliance and identify potential safety issues.
  • Training & Education: Provide training to employees on health and safety procedures, regulations, and hazard awareness.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on health and safety performance, risks, and incident findings for management.
  • Communication & Support: Act as a point of contact for safety-related issues, providing advice and support to employees and management.
  • Procedure Development: Assist in developing and implementing health and safety policies and management plans.

Essential Skills & Attributes

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of occupational health and safety laws and standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective control measures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training, reporting, and advising.
  • Analytical Skills: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze safety data and address issues.
  • Training Ability: Skill in educating and leading others in safety practices.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish professional relationships and collaborate with employees and management.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
