About the role
The role of Member & Employer Services Coordinator (MESC) is to grow the Fund and maintain effective and productive relationships with members and employers. A MESC provides factual information and general advice to members in accordance with the Fund's AFSL.
The MESC's key focus is growth and retention of members and employers by:
- informing and educating both members and employers about FIRST super and Superannuation in general
- identifying new business opportunities within the industry and at existing workplaces
- conducting recruitment and education campaigns in workplaces
This role involves regular intrastate and interstate travel and requires servicing our membership base within NSW including Sydney's North West and Northern areas incorporating Central Coast and Newcastles regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality service to existing members and participating employers.
- Promote the Fund through various channels and forums.
- Implementation and delivery of Fund growth strategies and initiatives in collaboration with Union, Employers and other key stakeholders
- Establish and maintain existing relationships with members and employers.
- Manage assigned Fund employers and members, providing education and assistance to both groups.
- Service and manage a portfolio of members & employers through regular engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with the Fund's requirements
Experience and background of the Ideal candidate
- Financial services industry ( e.g. - Superannuation, Financial Advice ,insurance etc. ) experience is highly desirable
- Must hold RG146 certification or obtain it within the probationary period
- Demonstrated experience in providing exemplary service to members via multiple channels (written, over the phone, face to face)
- Experience in a sales and business development roles on a business-to-business basis with a proven record of meeting targets
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly an ability to develop rapport and relationship with key stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills and time management
- Be highly self-directed, highly motivated, reliable and accurate
- A valid unrestricted Driver's License is required
