Description

Supervising a HR team, this role will have both a 'hands-on' and strategic element. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee daily HR operations, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards.
  • Manage complex employee relations and industrial relations matters effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to leaders on HR policies and workforce planning.
  • Work collaboratively with union representatives to foster productive relationships.
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Lead investigations and resolve workplace disputes in a fair and timely manner.
  • Support Operational leaders with performance management and people strategy.

Profile

Our client is seeking a HR Manager with the confidence to operate autonomously and build relationships across an operational workforce. Key experience required includes:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex ER and IR issues effectively.
  • Experience working within a unionised workforce environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Leadership and coaching experience.
