Role purposeWe're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the seamless day-to-day running of our centre. This role is pivotal in ensuring our site operates at the highest standards of safety, compliance, and presentation while fostering a positive environment for our staff, contractors, retailers, and customers.
As the Operations Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of operations, including security, maintenance, and emergency preparedness. You'll be a strong people leader who can drive performance, manage budgets, build stakeholder relationships, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, with regular coaching, reviews, and development planning.
- Manage contracts across security, cleaning, HVAC, vertical transport and other key services to ensure value and high-quality delivery.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and well-presented centre that exceeds expectations for tenants, customers, and visitors.
- Oversee budgets, monitor operating costs, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Deliver on sustainability and ESG initiatives by identifying opportunities for energy conservation and waste reduction.
- Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders including contractors, tenants, emergency services, and local council.
- Lead emergency management procedures and ensure full compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership experience in operations, ideally within retail or mixed-use assets.
- Strong background in managing operational contracts and complex building services.
- Skilled in budget management and driving financial efficiency.
- Experience delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of health, safety, risk, and compliance frameworks, including emergency management.
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence across diverse groups.
- A proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
