Randstad Senior Finance is proud to be partnering with a prestigious and innovative university located in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Partnering and Reporting Analyst to join a dynamic finance team. This is an initial 4-month contract position, with a strong potential for extension or permanency for the right candidate.

About the role:

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will be a trusted advisor, providing a wide range of support to key stakeholders to help manage the business's financial performance. You will play a crucial role in driving process improvements and ensuring the integrity of financial systems and data.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and producing timely and accurate financial and management reports.
  • Providing essential support for budgeting and forecasting processes, including analysis.
  • Performing general ledger reconciliations, journals, and accruals to maintain accurate financials.
  • Acting as a key support for Strategic Finance Business Partners on financial, planning, and system processes.
  • Assisting with finance system maintenance, testing, and the design of new business processes.
  • Providing advice on financial and taxation matters and escalating key issues to senior management where necessary.
  • Preparing acquittals for external granting agencies to meet funding agreement requirements.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • CA or CPA qualified, or an equivalent combination of extensive experience and/or training .
  • The ability to innovate within your function and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting priorities and managing workflows effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team.
  • A high degree of self-awareness and the ability to seek out and act on feedback for personal development.
  • A current Victorian Working With Children Check, or the willingness to obtain one.
