Role Purpose
As an integral member of the WPA team, you will play a key role in supporting the Development Management team across financial modelling, analysis, and project reporting for a range of property developments managed on behalf of our clients and funders.
You will work closely with senior development managers to manage individual projects, helping to drive commercial outcomes while maintaining WPA's commitment to quality, transparency, and trust. The role also involves conducting due diligence and supporting the assessment of new development opportunities to help shape strategic recommendations for management and investors.
This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across the full development lifecycle - from feasibility and acquisition through to delivery and completion - within a highly respected and values-driven business.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Development Management, you will be mentored by experienced professionals and actively contribute to the success of multiple projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing complex financial models (debt and equity) and project feasibility analyses using Excel and industry software.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly project reports and investor updates.
- Supporting due diligence and transaction assessments for new projects.
- Monitoring, managing, and reporting on existing investments and financial exposures.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market analytics, construction trends, and property sector insights.
- Building strong working relationships with internal development managers, funders, consultants, valuers, and other key stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in property, corporate finance, investment, or banking.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Property, or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification preferred (or equivalent if from a finance background).
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel.
- Sound understanding of property and construction accounting.
- Proven ability to identify and manage risk with commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

The role will be based primarily at Bundoora and may require regular travel to offices of related businesses or external partners and may also include regional travel as required.
