The Midcoast Trucks Group is now accepting applications for our 2026 Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Program, based at our Coffs Harbour workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a long-term career with one of the leading heavy vehicle specialists in the region.

As part of our intake, applicants will begin with work experience to ensure the role and industry are the right fit before progressing into a full apprenticeship.

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • A current driver's licence and reliable transport
  • Commitment to completing a 4-year apprenticeship, including attendance at TAFE
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A genuine interest in the heavy vehicle repair industry
  • Self-motivation, reliability, and a strong work ethic

Eligibility: This program is best suited for those who have completed Year 12 and are ready to begin full-time work and training.
