The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and diligent senior project manager to join our high performing team. You will be responsible for the entire life cycle of each project across new large construction and fitout sectors, demonstrating your ability to work to cohesively to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Development of project plans, define scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and ensure that project deliverables exceed expectations.
- Ensure seamless project execution by effectively communicating to a team of designers, engineers, fabricators, and installers.
- Management of project budgets, expenses, and continued project auditing
- Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and troubleshoot problems.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and conduct post-project reporting.
- Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and foster positive working relationships.
The successful applicant will have the following skills.
- Proven experience in a project manager role with large construction wayfinding and statutory packages.
- High level of understanding of the National Construction Code.
- High level of OHSE understanding and adherence.
- Proficient in understanding the engineering, manufacturing, and installation processes.
- Experience in supporting tender preparation and submission.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and suppliers.
- Proficient in Aconex, Procore and MS Office.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Budgeting and financial management skills.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- Must be able to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Construction white card required.
