Therapeutic Guidelines Limited (TGL) is an independent not-for-profit organisation. Its mission is to promote the quality use of medicines through the publication of evidence-based clinical information, including Therapeutic Guidelines and, since 2023, Australian Prescriber. Therapeutic Guidelines is a point-of-care clinical reference database covering over 2500 diagnoses and Australian Prescriber is a free, evidence-based journal that covers a broad range of topics addressing the intersection of quality use of medicines, diagnostics and pathology. TGL's independence is underpinned by its financial self-sufficiency, giving it the freedom to operate with integrity and purpose.
The organisation has a wide reach and is deeply trusted. TGL is embedded in the Australian healthcare community, supporting general practitioners, hospital doctors, specialists, pharmacists, dentists, nurses and students. All medical, pharmacy and dental students are trained using Therapeutic Guidelines, and more than 20,000 students also subscribe to Australian Prescriber. Most healthcare professionals report daily or weekly use of the guidelines, making TGL's content part of the fabric of clinical care in Australia.
Through its Partnership Program, TGL also supports quality use of medicines, and the development and distribution of guidelines, in low resource settings, extending its impact beyond national borders.

The Head of Product is a new, crucial role reporting to the Executive Director Publishing.
The successful applicant will shape TGL's product strategy to drive major initiatives that define our future – fostering innovation, supporting growth, and leading our evolution into a product-led, user-informed organisation.
This is a rare opportunity to transform how evidence-based guidance is accessed, experienced, and applied across the health system.
