We're seeking an experienced ETL Developer to join a large federal government department's Data Integration & Engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting ETL processes that enable accurate, timely, and secure data insights across multiple domains.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, enhance and support ETL procedures for data integration and reporting.
  • Analyse and resolve production incidents, perform data profiling and impact analysis.
  • Design, develop, test and document ETL processes and database components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality data solutions and improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal staff.

About You

You're a hands-on Software Engineer who thrives in a data-focused environment and enjoys problem-solving across large-scale, complex systems.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience developing and supporting ETL workflows and data pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with enterprise data warehouse platforms.
  • Experience with IBM DataStage or similar ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with scripting tools (Perl, SQL, UNIX Shell) and Python.
  • Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and ITIL frameworks.
  • NV1 or Baseline security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
