Your Opportunity
As the Principal Finance and Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial sustainability of the OQIC. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Services, you will manage budgets, prepare financial statements, and oversee procurement governance. You will also collaborate with the Queensland Audit Office (QAO) and external auditors to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring
To excel in this role, you will have:

  • Membership of a professional accounting body recognised under section 4 of the Financial Accountability Regulation 2019 (highly desirable).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other automation tools (highly regarded).
  • Strong knowledge of financial management frameworks and public sector practices.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and working with auditors, including the QAO.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment and deliver high-quality results.
