About the role
This is a full-time Workshop Supervisor position based in Port Adelaide, SA. As the Workshop Supervisor at J and J Fabrication and Engineering PTY LTD, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing workshop. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical and leadership skills to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the workshop.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the workshop team, including welders and boilermakers
- Oversee the production schedule and workflow to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
- Provide technical guidance and support to the workshop team
- Identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the manufacturing process
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor and maintain equipment and tooling to optimise productivity
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with welding, fabrication and boilermaking.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate a team
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
