Workshop Supervisor

We currently have an excellent opportunity available to be part of the success of the Europcar business and its subsidiary, AUS Mechanical Services throughout Western Australia. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role will see you responsible for providing mechanical support and assistance to the workshop, monitor the service and repair in progress within the workshop team. This position will be 30% productive on the tools and 70% supervising the mechanics and apprentices in the workshop.

This role is NOT a FIFO role and will require the candidate to be based in Port Hedland.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Pre-Employment medical to include Drug and Alcohol testing.

This position will be responsible for;

  • Prepare, supervise and control workshop team activities on a daily basis
  • Road test vehicles with customers and diagnose customer concerns prior to vehicle being booked in for service and / or repair
  • Work with the Service Manager ensuring that technicians and apprentice technicians are using their time effectively and efficiently

The successful candidate will need;

  • Automotive Technician Qualification (Trade Certificate) with a minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience
  • 2 years experience in a similar position (preferred)

  • Experience leading and developing people

  • Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate (Preferred)

  • Air conditioning Ticket (Preferred)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Unrestricted manual drivers' license (MR license preferred)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
