About Orontide

Orontide is a leading Western Australian company providing specialist engineering, fabrication, preservation, and integrity maintenance services to the Oil & Gas, Mining, Naval Defence, Marine and Commercial Industries.

As a result of the company's continued growth, we are seeking 2 suitably qualified and experienced Workshop Supervisor's - One with a Trade qualified Fitting Machining background and one with a Trade qualified Fabrication Welding background to join our Henderson based Engineering Workshop.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the two Supervisors primary responsibility will be to lead and supervise the performance of an excellent team of skilled and trained people within our Workshops

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete jobs that meet or exceed client quality requirements and are produced on time and on budget.
  • Continued development of a skilled group of personnel working as a team to achieve our outputs.
  • Experience in providing accurate quotations.
  • Ensure Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance.
  • To produce Manufacturer's Data Reports (MDR's) and other supporting materials as required.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Actively seek out ideas for continuous improvement

To be successful for this position, you must possess the following:

  • Relevant Australian recognised trade qualification, Boilermaker/Welder or Fitter/Machinist with Fabrication knowledge
  • Leadership and Supervision Training a must
  • Well-developed communication and leadership skills
  • The ability to quickly adapt to changes in job priorities
  • The demonstrated ability to ensure that quality work is completed safely, on time and within budget
  • Reliability in planning, reporting, communicating and ensuring compliance with internal and legislative commitments and obligations
  • The demonstrated ability to lead in the area of Health and Safety
  • Proficient computer skills
