About Us

Advanced Climbing Systems Australia is a growing outfit supplying heavy structural and specialised steel to Sydney's top builders. We design and fabricate everything from jumpform componentry and formwork shutters to scaffold beams, column forms, falsework systems, temporary walkway brackets, monorail stringers, and temporary structural steel for precast corbels on bridges. If it's metal and supports construction – we build it.


About the Role

We're after a hands-on Boilermaker / Workshop Supervisor to take the reins on the shop floor. This is your chance to lead the team, keep jobs moving, and maintain high-quality output. This isn't a clipboard-only job — you'll lead, mentor, and jump on the tools when required. You'll coordinate closely with management to ensure smooth workflow and production.


What You'll Be Doing
  • Running the workshop and keeping daily jobs on track
  • Reading drawings, allocating tasks, and checking workmanship
  • Welding and fabricating when needed — leading by example
  • Maintaining safety, cleanliness, and workshop standards
  • Mentoring team members and lifting overall skill levels
  • Reporting progress, issues, and resource needs to management

What We're Looking For
  • Trade-qualified Boilermaker with current welding tickets
  • Must hold current MIG and Stick welding certifications
  • Strong fabrication and structural steel experience
  • Minimum 5-10 years of structural steel fabrication experience required
  • Confident reading and interpreting drawings
  • Prior supervisory or team-leading experience preferred
  • Candidates with strong leadership potential will be considered alongside those with formal supervisory experience
  • Hands-on, able to switch between managing the team and getting on the tools
  • Excellent communicator with a strong work ethic and reliability
  • Full Australian working rights
