The Opportunity:

We're seeking a meticulous and proactive Contract Administrator to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves overseeing contracts, ensuring compliance, and managing stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting project delivery by efficiently managing contractual obligations, variations, claims, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:


• Review, negotiate, and administer construction contracts to ensure compliance with project objectives and legal requirements.


• Monitor project progress against contractual milestones, addressing any discrepancies or issues.


• Prepare, review, and submit project related claims, ensuring timely resolution and payment.


• Prepare and check subcontract packages, negotiate and review subcontract tenders to secure optimal terms and conditions.


• Produce and maintain a procurement schedule aligned with project timelines, ensuring timely delivery and resource allocation.


• Preparation of accurate payment schedules, facilitating timely and correct payments to subcontractors and suppliers.


• Process progress/delay claims and external variations, adhering to contractual obligations and timelines.


• Set up and maintain essential project documentation, including job files, drawing and contract registers, sample boards, and shop drawing registers.


• Assist with the Administration of RFIs to clients, architects, consultants and contractors.


• Assist in the management and tracking of project expenditure against the budget, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as needed.


• Collaborate with the project management team to provide contractual advice and support risk management strategies.


• Foster effective communication between project teams, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring clear understanding and adherence to contract terms.

What We're Looking For:


• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Contract Administrator role, preferably within the Medium Density construction sector.


• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and legal compliance.


• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.


• Experience with Jobpac, Cheops, MS Project, MS Office suite, and an understanding of AS 4300 or similar commercial contracts.


• Detail oriented, with a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.


• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building & Construction or related field
