Our client is seeking a Commercial Business Development Manager with a proven track record in sales (preferably in the Commercial arena) to sell affordable Commercial Real Estate Services to tenants and landlords in the Melbourne metropolitan area. This role would ideally suit a Commercial Property Manager or Sales and Leasing Consultant who is looking for a change, and wants to 'run their own show' as this role is extremely autonomous.

This is a full-time, permanent Monday - Friday role and flexibility will be considered for the right candidate in relation to hours (start and finish times). The role will be predominantly 'on the road' and all administration duties and phone calls/emails etc can be done remotely.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build and maintain client relationships to drive sales of real estate services.
  • Pitch services to commercial tenants and landlords, focusing on solutions like tenant representation for lease renegotiation.
  • Engage real estate agents to secure ESM compliance and lease document preparation services. ie: Leases, Disclosure Statements etc
  • Track leads and interactions in CRM software to ensure effective follow-up and relationship management.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay informed on industry trends.
  • Negotiate lease terms and contracts to meet client needs and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with teams (e.g., legal, marketing) to deliver comprehensive real estate solution
  • Prepare and present proposals, reports, and performance metrics to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local real estate regulations and company policies.
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial leasing (Melbourne preferred). - Knowledge of the Retail Leases Act 2003 strongly preferred.
  • Strong sales skills, professional communication, and ability to leverage industry contacts.
  • A confident and sales focused attitude and not afraid of approaching cold leads and successfully converting to business.

A very generous base salary is on offer, and on top of that, a lucrative commission structure that can be provided to short listed candidates upon request.
