About The Role
Senior Payroll Officers work in a dynamic environment with consistent variety and change and opportunities for personal development and career progression.

The Department of Justice has over 8000 employees covered by approximately 20 industrial awards and agreements, as well as others covered by special administrative arrangements, so there is always something new to learn.

The Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for coordinating and assuring daily personnel and payroll activities are completed and ensure accurate and timely payroll related services are provided to clients. The Senior Payroll Officer assists in identifying and developing service improvement opportunities through regularly reviewing and updating business and system processes.
