The Role:

This is a key technical sales role in the business as an applications engineer for Hygrade Waters complete product range with a specific focus on Control Valve product ranges.  You will be responsible for all incoming internal product inquiries, from both the customer and Hygrade Sales team and have the ability to size products, quote, and offer advice to customers and the wider sales team. Additional to this role you will also be required to assemble valves and any actuation requirements and be responsible for suggestions to inventory levels. You are to ensure customers needs are met to the highest level while supporting the wider business with all sales & technical requirements.

The Role

·       Technical Sales – You will be responsible forproviding support to customers and the wider business with technical advice, quotes, tenders etc. Sizing of Valves, actuation selections and material specifications will all be part of the requirement to ensure the customers needs are met and our solution provides value and performance.

·       Technical Assembly – As part of this role you will be required to have a full understanding of valve assembly and will be responsible to build the required valves or oversee an assembly technician. Understanding schematics and assembly drawings is a must, along with attention to detail. Included in this you will also be responsible for all actuation assembly within the business. A basic understanding of gearbox and actuation assembly and operation including setup is a requirement.

·       Customer Service; You are the primary contact for HWA external sales along with internal day-to-day inquiries & sales. You will provide customers with excellent sales service and ensure the customer needs are met and that all interactions with customers meet the Hynds service standards.  A high level of technical competence with our products will be required to meet customer expectations.

·       Sales & Customer Support; Provide customers & external sales support for the Control Valve product range including technical advice for start up, commissioning and trouble shooting. Onsite call outs may be required locally, but also nationally to assist when a large supply project requires Technical assistance.

·       Factory Communication; You may be required to deal directly with the factory for pricing, delivery and practical or technical advice. I good understanding of freight time frames, pricing and exchange variations will be a key factor for being successful in this role.

·       Order Fulfilment; Liase with customers, sales team and procurement to plan and implement the supply of products to meet the customers needs.  Communicate with suppliers, logistics manufacturing and distribution about the delivery plan and any issues during the fulfillment phase. You will also be responsible for managing stock and communicating to management of stock levels and needed products on a regular occurrence.
