Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ACMN Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

We're looking for a Social Media Manager who thrives on the day-to-day flow of posting, scheduling, and community chats, while also helping to shape the bigger campaign story.

You'll be in the thick of it — making sure content goes live, approvals tick along, and audiences feel connected — while also sparking fresh ideas, spotting trends, and helping shows shine online.

This role is equal parts doer and thinker: rolling up your sleeves to keep accounts buzzing, while creatively contributing to the bigger campaigns that drive excitement and ticket sales.

If you're a natural trend-spotter with a passion for storytelling and strategy, this role is for you.

Reports To:
Executive Creative Director

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy, Content Development & Creative Collaboration

  • Working closely with Creative Directors to ideate and implement smart, creative social strategies tailored to each show, with a focus on audience engagement and driving ticket sales.
  • Oversee the briefing, execution, and delivery of creator content, providing clear guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality, on-brand results that drive campaign goals.
  • Develop briefs for designers and video editors to create high-quality visual and video content, along with filming briefs for external creators and company members to capture social videos.
  • Develop content calendars with strategic themes and messaging that align with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Write scroll-stopping copy and plan content that connects with audiences across platforms.
  • Build and manage relationships with creators and influencers, ensuring campaigns align with both their style and the brand's vision, while maximising audience reach and engagement.
  • Be quick on your feet to jump on trends and react to what's buzzing online.

Community Engagement

  • Manage day-to-day social operations, including scheduling, posting, and active community engagement.
  • Proactively monitor and nurture online conversations to build positive sentiment, foster community trust, and protect brand/show reputation.
  • Keep tabs on what's working and tweak strategies to keep content fresh and effective.
  • Manage sensitive comments and feedback with professionalism and discretion, escalating issues as needed with clear recommendations.
  • Keep tabs on what's working and tweak strategies to keep content fresh and effective.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Leverage social listening tools (e.g. Sprout Social) to track conversations, sentiment, and trends across platforms.
  • Translate listening insights into recommendations for creative content, campaign pivots, and timely client updates.
  • Track campaign results and content performance, providing actionable insights to refine strategies and hit KPIs.
  • Develop clear, client-ready reports and presentations that transform data into actionable insights, telling a compelling story of campaign performance, sentiment, and audience engagement.

Process & Project Management

  • Confidently use tools like Sprout Social, Trello, and Monday to schedule, manage, monitor, and report on campaigns effectively.
  • Serve as the primary social media point of contact for clients, ensuring all communication is timely, professional, and proactive.
  • Manage the approval process with clients, and internally, to ensure deadlines and brand consistency are met.
  • Be prepared to respond quickly to last-minute opportunities, changes, or reputational issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Involvement and execution of new business pitches as required.

Event Coverage

  • Attend filming days, media calls, opening nights, and live events to capture authentic, exciting content.
  • Deliver creative content from events in real-time that feels natural and aligns with the campaign strategy.

What We're Looking For:

Detail & Delivery:
Strong on the practical side — organised, proactive, and confident managing approvals, client comms, community management and the day-to-day flow that keeps campaigns running smoothly.

Platform Expertise:
Deep understanding of social platforms and how to tailor content for each one.

Collaborative Spirit:
You thrive in team environments, working closely with creators, creatives, designers, and clients to bring ideas to life.

Trend Savvy:
You're ahead of the curve, spotting emerging social trends and understanding what makes content click.

Creative Energy:
You have bold, innovative ideas and a knack for turning them into engaging campaigns.

Strategic Thinker:
You can seamlessly align creative ideas with larger marketing objectives.

Adaptability:
You're flexible, quick to pivot, and unafraid to tackle last-minute changes or opportunities.

Passion for Live Entertainment:
You believe in the magic of live events and love sharing that excitement with others.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years in social media management, preferably in an agency or entertainment environment.
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing content across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Proven ability to ideate, produce, and execute creative social content that drives engagement and conversions.
  • Excellent writing skills with a knack for crafting fun, engaging captions and messaging.
  • Proficiency with tools like Sprout Social, Trello, Monday, and social listening platforms (e.g. Brandwatch, Meltwater).
  • Experience of working with talent and creators and managing content campaigns with them.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on exciting, high-profile campaigns for theatre and live entertainment.
  • Collaborate with a passionate team of creatives and strategists who value your voice and ideas.
  • Be part of a fast-paced, fun environment where your creativity can shine.

If you're a trend-savvy, detail-oriented, idea-driven social media pro who thrives on the practical day-to-day while also sparking ideas that shape campaigns — and you love live entertainment — we'd love to hear from you
