CaSPA Care is the result of a merger between Claremont Home (Albert Park) and SouthPort Nursing Home (Port Melbourne), two community-based organizations with a long history of providing residential care services. Claremont has been serving the local community for over 50 years and SouthPort for over 30 years. The merger enables the combined organization to offer quality care on a larger scale, meeting rigorous certification and accreditation standards. CaSPA Care is currently developing a new 146-bed facility in South Melbourne, which will provide high-quality services for residents now and in the future.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chef, located in South Melbourne, VIC. The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, ensuring the highest standards of food presentation, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Other responsibilities include menu planning, sourcing and managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Chef will work closely with the kitchen team and other staff to provide nutritious and appealing meals to the residents.

Qualifications

  • Experience in preparing and cooking a variety of meals, including special dietary
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen team and other staff
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Formal culinary training or relevant certifications are considerate.
