About Us

Hunter & Hound is South Melbourne's newest addition to the Tiffy Group — a classic British-inspired pub with a modern edge, known for its hearty food, great beers, and warm, lively atmosphere. Our rooftop space features a Mediterranean-inspired grill menu, offering guests an elevated dining experience with stunning city views.

We're building a passionate kitchen team driven by creativity, consistency, and camaraderie — and we're now seeking a Chef de Partie to join our dynamic crew.


The Role

As a Chef de Partie at Hunter & Hound, you'll play a key role in maintaining high culinary standards across both the main pub kitchen and rooftop grill. You'll assist senior chefs in daily service, prep, and execution, while bringing your own expertise and energy to the team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CDP who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality food with precision and consistency.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute dishes to a consistently high standard across all sections.
  • Lead the grill section during service, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
  • Assist in the smooth running of service on both the pub and rooftop levels.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver menu consistency and quality.
  • Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene and uphold food safety standards.
  • Support in training and mentoring junior team members.
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and waste management.

About You
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong grill experience and confident working with meat, seafood, and Mediterranean flavours.
  • Passionate about quality food, presentation, and guest experience.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and work efficiently during busy service periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Current Food Safety Certificate required.
