About Us:

Dot Design Group is looking for a talented Mid/Senior Industrial Designer to join our Sydney HQ. If you have strong Industrial Design skills and experience in POS, retail, or product design, we want to hear from you

In this full-time role, you'll work across multiple Retail & FMCG projects at different stages—from concept to engineering, manufacturing, and delivery.

About You:

You're a creative thinker with a strong design focus, exceptional concept generation skills, and an eye for detail. You thrive in a team environment, manage projects efficiently, and bring ideas to life through sketching, 3D modelling (SolidWorks), rendering (KeyShot/Blender), and manufacturing expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate on-brief design concepts with strong sketching and ideation skills
  • Develop high-quality sketches, 3D models, and render presentations
  • Engineering, quoting, and estimating project timelines
  • Manage local and offshore production, QC, and delivery
  • Deliver creative solutions—on time and on budget

Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience (POS & Retail preferred)
  • Degree in Industrial Design (preferred)
  • Must have exceptional design skills, creative thinking and a passion for good design
  • Proficient in generating presentations, exceptional sketching skills, rendering ability, graphic layouts, etc.
  • Must be proficient in Solidworks, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional time management, sketching and presentation skills are required
  • Must have a proven success record in designing, detailing and engineering for manufacture
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Sourcing and production skills
  • Must have excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Willingness to work autonomously and also with a team to achieve goals
  • Injection moulding design experience is also plus
