We are a leading motel in the heart of Karratha, the hub of Western Australia's resources sector. We're looking for a creative and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver an exceptional dining experience.

The Role:

  • Roster: Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) from Perth
  • Schedule: 2 weeks on, 1 week off
  • Location: Karratha, WA

Your Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the kitchen, leading a small, dedicated team.
  • Design, cost, and execute a high-quality, buffet restaurant menu.
  • Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and budget management.
  • Champion a culture of excellence in food safety, quality, and presentation.
  • Train, mentor, and develop your kitchen brigade.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or a highly skilled Sous Chef ready for the next step.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Head Chef experience is required for this position.
  • Formal culinary qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for building a positive team environment.
  • The ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced setting.
  • A creative flair and a genuine passion for creating delicious, memorable food.
  • Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
