Join Our Professional Development Team

Are you a creative and forward-thinking individual with a passion for knowledge and professional development? The Australasian Sonographers Association (ASA) is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our Professional Development Team in a permanent, part time capacity.

Role Overview: As part of the Professional Development team, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering high-quality professional development opportunities for ASA members. From identifying emerging trends to collaborating with industry experts, you will help shape the future of sonography education and training.

Employment Details

  • Position type: permanent, part time

  • Hours: flexible but would ideally prefer 2-3 days/week

  • Location: flexible with opportunity for remote work

  • Reports to: General Manager, Professional Development and Research

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required

  • Flexibility: Some work outside standard business hours may be required

  • Work Rights: Permanent resident status or higher is required for this position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of professional development initiatives tailored to the needs of ASA members

  • Collaborate with the Annual Conference Program Committee to develop innovative conference programs

  • Oversee speakers and program content for events, including Special Interest Group Days, Fundamental Seminars, and Travelling Workshops

  • Manage online content creation and the Learning Management System to ensure seamless access to educational resources

What We're Looking For:

  • A passionate advocate for the continuous growth and development of the sonography profession

  • Qualifications and/or experience in education and/or training/experience working in allied health

  • Strong IT skills and the ability to operate across multiple platforms; experience with learning management systems such as Moodle and Articulate 360 is desirable

  • Understanding of online continued professional development content

  • Effective communication and research skills

  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and plan future learning requirements of members.

  • Demonstrated personal commitment to ongoing learning

  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a professional association environment
