Business Analyst – Data and Analytics Project
12 Month Contract | Brisbane CBD | Major Government-Owned Utility
A large government-owned utility is delivering a major Data and Analytics transformation program and is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the ICT Project Management Office for a 12 month contract.
This is an opportunity to work on the design and delivery of a secure, cloud-based data platform that will enhance analytics, reporting and AI capabilities across the organisation. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business areas to define requirements, improve processes and support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyse and document business and data requirements across multiple workstreams
Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories
Conduct stakeholder workshops and develop artefacts such as process models, wireframes and use cases
Perform data analysis to identify insights and opportunities for improvement
Prepare business cases, feasibility studies and benefit analyses
Support delivery of a new cloud-based data platform and governance framework
Produce documentation, dashboards and reports for project stakeholders
About You
Extensive experience as a Business Analyst on data, analytics or cloud transformation projects
Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes and lifecycle management
Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and documentation skills
Relevant tertiary qualifications or BA certifications (highly regarded)
Current driver's licence (some travel to regional offices may be required)
