About the role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA to support a major finance and procurement transformation initiative. This role is pivotal in driving business process improvements, mapping current and future states, and ensuring successful implementation of SAP solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and change managers to deliver strategic outcomes that align with organisational objectives.

What you will be doing

  • Analyse and document AS-IS and TO-BE business processes, identifying gaps and recommending solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Develop process maps, business process documentation, and change impact artefacts.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by writing and executing test scripts.
  • Assist with training preparation and ensure materials are delivered on time.
  • Engage with technical teams and SMEs to ensure successful SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Provide risk identification and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

What you will bring

  • 6+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in financial operations, procurement, and accounting modules.
  • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC 6.0, SAP FICO, Concur, and Ariba.
  • Strong skills in process mapping, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in complex environments.
  • Experience in testing (UAT) and supporting change management activities.

Bonus points for…

  • Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP).
  • Familiarity with SAP Signavio for best practice navigation.
  • Previous experience working within Queensland Government or similar environments.
