We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team and support the Restaurant and Bar Manager in delivering exceptional world class service, exceptional cuisine, and timeless hospitality to every guest that walks through our door.

Located at the Sandalford Wines Caversham Estate the Sandalford Bar and Restaurant is open for lunch 7 days plus dinner on Friday and Saturday. The seasonal menus incorporate fresh and regional produce to create truly outstanding dishes that complement our stunning range of wines. The restaurant has a tranquil ambience which includes an alfresco dining area and private dining room. Our highest priority is to provide an inviting atmosphere for our guests to relax and indulge all the senses.

THE ROLE

In this role you will help lead and inspire the team, ensure smooth service across the floor and work closely with the kitchen team to deliver unforgettable dining experiences for each and every guest

To be successful in this role you must be committed to exceptional customer service to every guest, have the experience and confidence to train and inspire a strong front of house team and be able to roll up your sleeves, assist in sections, run the pass and know the all aspects of the business you will have to teach. Further responsibilities include maintaining stock levels, working to budgets, staff rostering, complying with health regulations and being responsible for ensuring secure close of the Restaurant at least one shift a week.

ABOUT YOU
  • You'll be confident and motivated - this position leads a team which contribute mightily to the prestigious Gold Plate Awards judging.
  • Chosen hospitality as a career, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a management position of a Restaurant, Food & Beverage Operation, or similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation systems, seating arrangements, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) with the ability to complete reports, rostering and create restaurant menus.
  • Management of Licensed Premises Certification is a prerequisite
  • Australian Driver's license, RSA certificate and Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 6 months)
  • Full Australian working rights required.
