About the Opportunity

As the Senior Digital Product Owner, you will play a critical role in enhancing organisational capability through hands on leadership, strategic influence, and deep expertise across all aspects of digital product development. You will lead a cross-functional digital squad from opportunity identification and solution design through to development, delivery, and optimisation - driving improvements in both digital experience and digital sales performance.

Working closely with teams across Technology, Compliance & Risk, Legal, and key business units including Insurance & Roadside, and Membership & Digital, this role is instrumental in delivering exceptional online experiences for RACV members.

The Senior Digital Product Owner will ensure the squad is equipped with the right processes, rituals, capabilities, and culture to continuously deliver high-impact digital products that drive meaningful value for both members and the organisation. You will champion the role and impact of Digital Product across the organisation, positioning it as a key enabler of RACV's member and business outcomes.

  • Lead a digital squad from opportunity and design through to development and delivery, ultimately improving digital experience and digital sales metrics.
  • Champion Digital Product capability and remit at RACV.
  • Lead and deliver Digital Product Strategy in both digital products and ways of working.
  • Work with technology, frontline, product teams, digital teams, marketing and customers to form a deep understanding of customer problems and potential solutions.
  • Use your prioritisation skills to make the right call on what needs to be addressed when and how value can be delivered as early as possible.
  • Document findings into specifications, user stories, etc. that will be used as the foundation of the development and testing phases.
  • Use your great research, analysis, and decision-making skills to juggle the wide range of enhancements and bug fixes, into an achievable roadmap.

What you'll need to be successful

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience as a senior Digital Product Owner and leading cross-functional teams from Design through to Delivery
  • Proven experience in delivering digital product features and enhancements that have driven both customer experience and commercial outcomes.
  • An ability to articulate digital product decisions to cross-functional team, senior management and other key stakeholders as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities whilst completing work according to schedule
  • Ensure cross-functional squads are clear about why features and experiences are prioritised and that they are motivated to the Digital Product vision and roadmap.
  • Be a champion for the customer by collaborating with the design team to develop user stories, wireframes, and workflows that solve real problems for our customers
  • Define best practice ways of working and implement and champion within cross-functional squad.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to capture feedback, and suggestions, and help develop new concepts based on industry research and the needs of members.
  • Work with digital analytics team to iterate, track and measure impact of activities and development including ROI.
  • Inspire, drive and motivate cross-functional squad, peers and stakeholders by being an open, authentic and genuine self-motivated leader who is visionary, action-oriented and energised by winning as a team.
  • Champion Product Ownership as a discipline at RACV and bring best practice methods and approaches to RACV's ways of working.
  • Insurance experience would be advantageous
