About us

We're looking for a professional, motivated, people-focussed candidate to help manage our growing practice in the Sydney CBD.

We're looking for a full-time Practice Manager who can support our team of experienced family lawyers. This is a role that would suit anyone with prior legal practice management experience and who is committed to the growth and development of our team. Meredith Lawyers is an experienced Family Law firm established in 2007 with our head office in Sydney and a presence in Perth.

This is an exciting position suitable to candidates who are highly organised, self motivated and who want a role where they can make a difference in a growing and dynamic family law practice.

Qualifications & experience

  • 2 - 5 years as Legal Practice Manager
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Legal Practice Management Software
  • Minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, client presentation and telephone manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep an office organised and well-structured.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of the practice under direction of the Principal, to be discussed at interview.
  • Business Development.
  • Human Resources management.
  • Managing Legal Office, including fee earner support (resource allocation), client communications, file management, and general office organisation.
  • Co-ordinating diary for firm including client meetings, court appearances and so on.
  • Assisting Principal with hiring of new staff.
  • Liaising with service providers.
  • Match and fit in with the culture and expectation of the team
  • Demonstrate an excellent rapport with staff and clients
