Do you have experience working in commercial litigation as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant? We're seeking an enthusiastic Paralegal to join our Commercial Litigation team in Brisbane.

Your new role

Working in the Brisbane CBD, you will bring a positive and proactive approach to exceptional client service.

Your variety of work will include:

  • Delivering high quality, accurate work while managing deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Working with a number of key clients.
  • Taking carriage of commercial and financial recovery.
  • Post judgment debt recovery and enforcement, namely bankruptcy, winding up, property seize and sell, garnishee, warrants and oral examination procedures.
  • Achieving both client and firm objectives in terms of recoveries and achieving turnaround times in a methodical, efficient and professional way.
  • Utilising client portals to keep clients up to date on the status of their matters;
  • Assisting with establishing effective work practices to ensure budget and recovery targets are met.
  • General administration such as softcopy and hardcopy filing, archiving, photocopying, scanning and email correspondence.

You will bring to the role:

  • Some experience in commercial litigation and general commercial debt recovery
  • Exceptional communication and client service
  • Proactive approach and initiative
  • Confidence with a range of technology and in learning new systems
  • Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Experience using practice management systems (including Actionstep) highly regarded
