Business Development Specialist
to grow our network and strengthen LuxAid's reputation across the disability sector.

Role Purpose

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for
building and maintaining strong relationships
with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, Local Area Coordinators (LACs), and SDA providers to generate referrals for daily living supports and SIL services. The role also involves creating strategic connections with Occupational Therapists (OTs), Behaviour Support Practitioners (BSPs), and allied health professionals to drive referrals for LuxAid's core and capacity-building services.

The goal is to
position LuxAid as a trusted provider of choice
, establish a strong market presence, and bring in new business opportunities through partnerships and referrals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, LACs, and SDA Providers to generate consistent referrals.
  • Build referral networks with OTs, BSPs, Psychologists, and allied health practitioners to expand participant access to LuxAid's services.
  • Actively promote LuxAid's supports (Community Participation, Daily Living, Personal Care, and SIL) to sector stakeholders.
  • Represent LuxAid at networking events, expos, and industry forums to build brand reputation.
  • Maintain a structured referral pipeline and provide regular reporting on lead generation, conversion, and relationship outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new participants.
  • Identify market opportunities, competitor activities, and emerging trends in the NDIS sector.
  • Uphold LuxAid's values of
    trust, quality, and participant-first care
    in all engagement activities.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS sector, including SIL, community participation, and daily living supports.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional networks.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with proven ability to meet growth targets.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning with company strategy.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and empathy for people with disability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in client acquisition, business development, or stakeholder engagement within NDIS, aged care, or allied health sectors.
  • Strong network of Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, or allied health professionals (highly desirable).
  • Tertiary qualification in business, community services, or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across Sydney/NSW.
