We are currently seeking the services of an experienced Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor based at our Head Office in Wentworth Pont. This position is a permanent on-site position, without the option of work from home.

In this challenging role you will oversee the daily operations of the spare parts warehouse to ensure the safe, efficient and accurate physical and systemic processing of inbound and outbound orders.

Main Responsibilities of the role are:

  • To supervise warehouse staff in the safe, accurate and timely receiving, handling, storage and dispatch of spare parts and related returns.
  • Ensure the warehouse, its equipment and surrounds are maintained to facilitate a safe and clean work environment.
  • To ensure the security, integrity and safe storage of all stock under control both within the warehouse and in any external storage locations.
  • To support the National Logistics Manager in the resolution of customer delivery issues that arise across the national network.
  • Provide regular feedback and reporting to department stakeholders.
  • Work with other stakeholders and business units to ensure accurate and on time distribution of customer orders.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse team members – including labour planning to business requirements, licencing and training, personal development and performance management.
  • Identify, lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, service or cost metrics of the warehouse.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following key attributes:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a warehouse supervisor in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Warehousing processes and legislative frameworks (eg OH&S, COR)
  • Proven ability to lead people and teams
  • Strong customer service focus and attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve in complex environments
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • SAP Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
