We are seeking a Lead Emergency Communications Contracts to provide strategic management of our operational communications agreements.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North in line with our hybrid working model.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Contracts and Business Performance, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Lead AV's strategic commercial involvement across Victorian multi-agency communications and other related agreements
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to contract management activities
  • Provide strong and effective leadership to the Emergency Communications Contracts team by fostering a culture of professional development, leadership and continuous improvement
  • Provide efficient contract management and administration of nominated communication contracts and/or administrative arrangements, including budgets, to protect and promote AV's interests

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess tertiary qualification or relevant industry certification in business, technology, engineering, or related discipline (or progress toward) with a high level of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience. Other requirements include:

  • Experience in tendering processes including contract evaluation and negotiation, preferably in the public sector (desirable)
  • Experience in contract management and administration in a complex environment
  • Experience in the provision of contractual and commercial advice to senior management
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills to gain the acceptance of ideas, cooperation of others, and the ability to modify styles and techniques to accommodate tasks, situations and individuals
  • Exceptional relationship building skills to take appropriate action to develop strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
