We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader to join our team, playing a crucial role in regional leadership and management before, during, and after emergencies. In this position, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to develop and implement comprehensive Emergency Management Plans. Your expertise will be vital in shaping strategies for fire and flood management, as well as community recovery efforts, ensuring the safety and resilience of our communities. **Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- **Regions Deliver on Planning, Response and Recovery responsibilities **-Ensures the region is thoroughly prepared, responsive and capable of safely and effectively meeting departmental responsibilities under the State Emergency Management Plan.
- **Effective representation of the department **- Actively represents the department in the Regional Emergency Management Team (REMT) during emergencies, and at various internal and external emergency management working groups and committees.
- **Volunteers are appropriately skilled **- Successfully coordinates and delivers learning and development of the department’s regional personnel volunteering in emergency management roles, ensuring they are appropriately skilled.
- **Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery Management **Collaborates effectively with the department’s regional incident management team to ensure readiness.
- **Effective people leadership **- Demonstrates strong leadership and people management skills, fostering a highly engaged and cohesive team.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

- Ability to assess situations and identifies the best systems tools for analysing, understanding the system and addressing problems.
- Capable of considering a broad range of topics (beyond immediate area of work).
- Able to develop long-term and multi-phased plans to influence others.
- Ability to establish resource requirements, utilisation guidelines, and integrate resource optimisation practices into daily operations.
- Capable of identifying issues in common for one or more clients or stakeholders and uses them to build mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Ability to actively seek to improve others’ skills and talents by providing knowledge, constructive feedback, coaching and learning opportunities.
