Moreover, the Regulatory Change & Compliance Lead ensures that business goals are in harmony with regulatory strategies, all while fostering a culture of regulatory awareness across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and drive the business forward in a compliant and strategic manner.

Please note this is a 24-month maximum term contract and is based out of our Melbourne offices.

- Stay informed about new and changing legislation, government policy positions, and industry trends in both the energy sectors.
- Provide early intelligence and insights on proposed changes to influence internal planning.

Impact Assessment & Translation

- Conduct end-to-end assessments of regulatory impacts including risks, opportunities, and process or system changes required.
- Translate regulatory obligations into actionable operational and procedural guidance tailored for different business units.
- Develop high-quality reports and visual presentations for senior stakeholders to support decision-making.

- Collaborate with Consumer business teams (e.g., billing, product, sales, collections, etc.) and group functions (e.g., Legal, Risk, Regulatory Affairs) to ensure shared understanding and buy-in.

Technology & Business Readiness

- Partner with IT and project squads to embed compliance into system design and delivery (e.g., Gentrack, 1P).
- Ensure that technology enhancements meet regulatory requirements and business expectations.
- Support training and communications initiatives to ensure all impacted employees are informed and equipped.

Change Management and Delivery

- Perform change impact assessments (people, process, systems), identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate on sequencing and prioritisation of the regulatory pipeline.
- Lead or support change implementation including communication, training, and ongoing monitoring of adoption.

- Provide subject matter expertise to address staff questions, and coordinate training programs where needed.
- Regularly update compliance documentation and internal procedures to reflect new requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve how the organisation manages regulatory change.

- Demonstrated experience leading change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent analytical skills, with ability to assess regulatory impact and prioritise compliance actions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior executives.
- Proven experience influencing business leaders and managing competing priorities.
