Be Part of History
The Tasmania Football Club is more than a football Club, it's an organisation built on purpose, pride, and impact. We're embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime journey – building a professional AFL club from the ground up. As we enter this historic and exciting phase, we are assembling a passionate and committed team to lay the foundation for a club that will unite, inspire, and represent all Tasmanians.
Your Role
The Events Lead will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and continual improvement of TFC's event program — from match-day and corporate functions to community engagement and major milestone events. The role will ensure every event reflects the Club's bold, purpose-led brand, delivers exceptional experiences for members, fans, and partners, and creates opportunities to deepen connections with stakeholders. The Events Lead will manage the end-to-end event lifecycle, balancing creativity and precision to deliver events that ignite pride, foster belonging, and leave a lasting impression.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Delivery
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of the Club's event calendar, including match-day functions, business networking events, community activations, and partner experiences.
- Deliver events to the highest professional standard, ensuring they are on-brand, on-budget, and aligned with the Club's purpose and values.
- Oversee logistics including venues, catering, AV, theming, ticketing, and scheduling to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Partnerships to ensure partner activations and brand elements are integrated into events.
Match-Day Experience
- Drive delivery of premium match-day functions, hospitality, and activations for members, partners, and VIPs.
- Work closely with Football, Operations, and Game-Day teams to ensure events complement the on-field product and enhance the fan experience.
- Ensure match-day events reflect TFC's commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and community connection.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders attending or involved in TFC events, including corporate partners, members, community groups, and government representatives.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, venues, and event contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate across the Club to align event objectives with broader strategic priorities.
Innovation & Impact
- Deliver creative, memorable event concepts that reflect the bold identity of TFC and celebrate the Club's connection to Tasmania.
- Embed storytelling, inclusivity, and purpose into all events to foster belonging and pride.
- Identify new opportunities to elevate the TFC event program, enhancing brand reputation and partner satisfaction.
Budgeting, Reporting & Operations
- Manage event budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
- Track and report on event outcomes, measuring success against objectives
- Implement and refine event systems, processes, and checklists to build scalable event delivery as the Club grows.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in end-to-end event management, from concept to execution, delivering high-quality events on time and within budget.
- Exceptional organisational and logistical skills, with a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- A creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to design memorable event concepts that tell a story and reflect a bold brand identity.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, building strong relationships with partners, suppliers, and internal teams.
- A passion for creating inclusive and purpose-driven experiences that foster community connection and leave a lasting impression.
