The Role
As Head of Events, you'll lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of ASG's full event calendar (live, virtual, hybrid, and internal).
You'll work across every division of the business to create experiences that drive revenue, strengthen our brand, and celebrate our people.

What You Will Do
- Lead the end-to-end planning, organisation, and delivery of all ASG events — live, virtual, hybrid, and internal
- Oversee all stages from concept and logistics to execution and post-event review
- Manage the annual event calendar to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with ASG's goals
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Events team, setting clear goals, providing coaching, and building a strong team culture
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Production to deliver seamless, on-brand experiences
- Manage event budgets, track spending, and ensure financial accuracy and resource efficiency
- Negotiate with venues, vendors, and suppliers to secure best value and quality
- Ensure compliance with ASG policies, OH&S, and risk management standards
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, volunteers, and on-site operations for smooth event delivery
- Analyse event performance, attendee feedback, and reporting to drive improvement and innovation
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance ASG's event program
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in event management, production, or operations leadership
- Proven ability to plan and deliver large-scale, high-quality events
- Strong people leadership. You know how to motivate, coach, and grow a team
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- High attention to detail, calm under pressure, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and vendor negotiations
- Tech-savvy with advanced computer and project management tool skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for excellence
- Willingness to travel and work after hours when events require it
