Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking a motivated, reliable, and eager-to-learn trainee to join our communities team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain full-time, paid work while working towards a Certificate III in Business.

As a trainee, you'll undertake a range of operational and administrative functions across Council, developing practical, hands-on experience while completing your formal training. To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • A willingness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork skills and the capacity to contribute in an office-based environment
  • Basic computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • The ability to complete a Nationally Recognised Qualification (Certificate III in Business) within 12 months
  • Commitment to undertaking the requirements of the associated qualification

To be eligible for this traineeship, you must:

  • Be at least 17years of age
  • Meet citizen, residency, and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship
  • Not hold a qualification equal to or higher than the traineeship qualification in the same field
