The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Legal Counsel
with a strong background in
property law
(and ideally broader commercial law experience) to provide in-house legal support across a diverse range of property development and construction matters. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will partner with senior management and project teams to deliver commercially sound legal advice and play a pivotal role in the company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality legal advice on a wide range of property-related matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, finance, construction and development projects.
  • Draft, review and negotiate property and commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Conduct and oversee due diligence on property transactions, identifying risks and providing recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, manage risks and deliver strong commercial outcomes.
  • Assist in the resolution of disputes and litigation related to property, construction and commercial matters.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.

About You

  • A qualified property and commercial lawyer with
    5+ years PQE
    gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
  • Strong knowledge of property and construction law, regulations and industry practices.
  • Proficiency with
    PEXA
    .
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Litigation experience desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with business leaders and stakeholders.
