About the role:
DBG Health is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant. The role involves resolving accounting issues, reconciling consolidation adjustments to the GL, and providing high-level explanations of consolidated balance sheet movements. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, assist with audit requests, and respond to audit queries in a timely manner.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Completion of consolidated monthly / quarterly / annual results within agreed timeframe.
- Preparation and maintenance of consolidation adjustments.
- Identifying and resolution of transaction and accounting issues.
- Reconciliation of consolidation adjustments to the GL.
- Providing high-level explanation of consolidated balance sheet movements.
- Manage the accounting of and reporting leases under AASB16.
- Draft monthly letter to our banks under the facility agreement with consolidated information as required.
- Assisting the Finance Manager to compile all data to satisfy audit requests.
- Respond to all audit queries in a timely manner.
- Support and promote collaboration with other departments.
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to resolve accounting and finance issues through research and analysis.
- Sufficient knowledge to perform recurring financial duties with a reasonable degree of independence.
- Command knowledge to be a dependable resource to the finance team.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to identify areas for improvement to ensure continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated flexibility and able to work with a small, committed team.
- Ability to form strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Robust technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
- Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
